It was 2017 when we first got word about The Matrix reboot. Reviving the legendary ’90s sci-fi film, while it was reported that Warner Bros. was in the “early stages” of the film, hype eventually died down. Now, almost two years later and interest surrounding the movie has been reignited, but has also resulted in plenty of misinformation.

As the internet speculates about the anticipated reboot, new information has come to light regarding original writers and directors, the Wachowskis. During an interview with Yahoo Movie UK, John Wick 3 director and former Matrix stunt coordinator Chad Stahelski had seemingly insinuated that the OG creatives would join the fourth Matrix film, though in what capacity was unknown.

“I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not just doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we all loved. And if it’s anywhere near the level of what they’ve already done, it wouldn’t take more than a call to go, ‘Hey, we want you to be a stunt guy’ and I would probably go and get hit by a car.”

Reaching out to publication SlashFilma representative said that the Wachowskis were in fact, not attached to the new film.

Rumours are circling so stay tuned for updates.
