Filming in the age of COVID-19 is tricky business. You just have to look at what happened to The Batman after Robert Pattinson tested positive for the virus. Action blockbuster Mission Impossible 7 is in the midst of production and with the threat of delays, Tom Cruise is taking social distancing extremely seriously.
Published by The Sun, a video shows the lead actor taking aim at several crew members in an explicit 3-minute rant over broken health protocols. He explains the pressures of keeping thousands of jobs and standing as the example for future films.
“If I see you do it again, you’re f**king gone. And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it,” Cruise yells. He later says, “We’re not shutting this f**king movie down.”
“They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers,” Cruise yelled. “That’s it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down.”

Many countries around the globe have renewed restrictions in the lead up to Christmas due to rising cases. Just today, the state of California shattered daily case records with 53,711 new cases Wednesday, according to ABC. In London 6,777 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, where the set of Mission Impossible 7 is being staged.
Just as one Twitter user published, “Dear Tom Cruise, Please come yell at America.”
