You could argue that the latest in superhero films have taken on a predictable synopsis – and while many are sequels or even prequels to the originals, a new hero, or more specifically anti-hero is about to be introduced to our screens. Sony has released the latest trailer for Marvel’s upcoming “Venom” movie, starring Tom Hardy as said anti-hero, Eddie Brock.
The trailer reveals Brock as he comes into contact with a dangerous and supernatural symbiote that posses his body. From here, he is forced to control the being, the only problem being is its murderous tendencies and terrifying appearance – and it is not the only creature over running the city.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland), Tom Hardy will be supported by cast members Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson. The film is set for release in cinemas, October 5 – watch the trailer below.
