As the red carpet premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home kicks off tomorrow in Los Angeles, the hype is well and truly building. While people begin camping out and fans follow the likes of Tom Holland around the country, it seems that the extreme fandom of Marvel lovers has gotten out of control during some occasions. And though Australian’s will have to wait until July 1 to catch the film in cinemas, overnight we already saw a glimpse of Tom Holland in action.

Appearing in New York this week, a female fan seeking an autograph from the 23-year-old looked as if she was being trampled by a large group of men behind her.

“This was absolutely INSANE and should NEVER happen….my neck was literally against the barricade with 30 grown men behind me pushing…. ridiculous how people act like you’re not only endangering fans safety but Toms as well,” the woman who goes by the username @NamelessCass published on Twitter.

In a video published on a Twitter thread, Holland is seen intervening.“I’m going to throw your s**t on the floor if you keep pushing that girl.” Cass then says she’s “literally going to have a panic attack,” to which Holland responds, “I got you.”

It’s not swinging from buildings or defeating a sci-fi villain though nevertheless it shows the charming nature Holland has become known for.

In other Spider-Man news, new posters have surfaced featuring Peter Parker’s ‘Stealth Suit’ as well as a new video featuring further footage from the film. Check it out below.

Spider-Man: Far From Home drops into Australian cinemas on July 1 so in the meantime, this is what the critics are saying so far.
