No one boos Drake off the stage, and if you do, make sure Tyler, The Creator isn’t watching.

Overnight, the ‘Hotling Bling’ rapper took to Tyler, The Creator‘s Los Angeles music festival, Camp Flog Gnaw, as a surprise headliner. As one of the world’s biggest RnB stars, it was an astonishment when the artist was booed as he appeared on stage. Following the poor reception, Drake addressed the crowd asking if he should continue. “You know, Imma tell you, like I said, I’m here for you tonight. If you want me to keep going, I will keep going,” the 33-year-old said. Instead, the crowd asked for fellow artist Frank Ocean, as he was originally rumoured to appear as the headline act.

It was awkward to say the least, and after a short performance he walked off the stage earlier than his 20 minute set was scheduled to go. Drake has since laughed off the incident, posting to Instagram, “Plot twist…just signed a 10 year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw sorry kids see you EVERY SINGLE YEAR till you are 30.”

But to Tyler, The Creator it was no laughing matter and if you’re asking us, we wouldn’t want to be the subject of his latest Twitter rant.

“I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE FUCKING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW. SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE ASSHOLES WHEN IT DIDN’T COME TRUE AND I DON’T FUCK WITH THAT.”

The style icon and music mogul went on to address mob mentality and that it appeared like “cancel culture in real life”. The 28-year-old then went on to lighten up a little bit, thanking everyone for their attendance. Read the entire thread below. And consider yourself warned for the next time you want to boo someone in front of Tyler, The Creator.
