Kim Jones is bringing it home – his home, actually – with the artistic director for Dior menswear confirming that he will be showing the Dior Men’s Fall 2022 collection in London.
Scheduled to take place on December 9 this will be the first time that the French Maison will show their men’s collection in England’s capital. A location for the show has yet to be revealed by the Dior team.
While it might be the first menswear show, it will in fact be the second Dior show to be revealed in London. Back in 1947, Dior showed a womenswear collection to the late Queen Mother and Princess Margaret.
Jones, a London-native and graduate of the prestigious Central Saint Martins, was granted an OBE during the 2020 Birthday Honours list for services to fashion. Speaking to the media about the announcement, Jones stated that he “can’t wait to do a show in my hometown.”
While most recent Spring 2022 Dior show saw Jones continue his collaborative efforts, joining with Travis Scott, no details have emerged if another partnership with steer the directions of the Fall line.
