After swiping the slate clean and introducing a new, yet referential-rich, with his debut Spring Summer 2024 show last year, creative director Sabato De Sarno’s sophomore collection will be his opportunity to set the agenda for the Italian brand.
There was a hint of what De Sarno has in mind – a sleeker, more evolved look that finesses the Italian tailoring of Gucci’s heritage with a modern, almost sportif, element. The designer even introduced a new shade to the Gucci lexicon: Rosso. A deep, rich almost burgandy red. A subtle seed that suggests that De Sarno will re-embrace the brand’s sensual side? Perhaps.
