Everything old has been made new again thanks to Hollywood and the latest film to see a revived iteration is Zombieland. Released 10 years ago, the satirical classic as welcomed back its original foursome – Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone – for a modernised sequel, aptly dubbed Zombieland: Double Tap.

Reuniting with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (the brains behind Deadpool) the cast are plunged into an action packed comedy with the addition of monster trucks, the White House, weed, hippies, Luke Wilson, and Rosario Dawson. Yes, you read correctly.

According to the official synopsis:

“Through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”

It is fun and comedic and for zombie fans out there, yes, there is plenty of zombie killing.

Zombieland: Double Tap is slated to drop into cinemas from October 17. In the meantime, check out the first trailer below.
