As the third release of the Avengers franchise begins to leave cinemas, Marvel film fanatics are already looking to its next instalment. Leaked through cinematographer Trent Opaloch’s online resumé, Avengers 4 is supposedly set to be called “End Game”, and as expected fans went nuts. Shortly after the accidental leak, the resumé has been updated to “Avengers 4”.

Since the showing of most recent, Avengers: Infinity War, many fans have pointed out the repeated use of “end game” in the dialogue. Just after Doctor Strange hands the Time Stone over to Thanos, he tells Iron Man, “We’re in the end game now”, possibly hinting at the next film. The Russo brothers squashed the rumours when asked by Uproxx if it was the next title, but did hint that, “It’s certainly grounded in the narrative that we have been following throughout the MCU – very well grounded…”

Whether the resumé stated a working title or if it will indeed be called “End Game”, there is still two more Marvel films set for release, with Ant-Man and the Wasp out this week and Captain Marvel early next year.
