Renowned celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton and The White Lotus, Euphoria and You actor Lukas Gage have ended their marriage after just six months.
According to TMZ, Appleton, 40, “beelined” to a court on November 13 listing the date of separation as November 10. He reportedly listed the reason for the divorce as “irreconcilable differences.”
The pair’s whirlwind romance was sealed in April at a little white chapel in Vegas—officiated by Kim Kardashian. Notably Shania Twain was also in attendance and sang her 1997 classic hit “You’re Still The One”! They were engaged all of a few weeks.
“I feel very happy, very lucky and very much in love,” Gage told The Today Show in the US. “He’s a good-looking man. Something about being in London, I got a taste of the Brits and couldn’t help myself.”
“I’m very happy. Very much in love. And I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special,” Appleton gushed on The Drew Barrymore Show in March. “Love is a really special thing and I think meeting someone that you really connect with is really, really special.”
Ironically, the wedding aired on an episode of The Kardashians just last week with Kim proclaiming, “I have never really seen Chris this smitten and happy. It’s just like a whole different situation for him,” before advising both parties to get a prenup.
According to TMZ, Appleton tried very hard to make the marriage work but it wasn’t to be. A prenup was in place meaning both parties will keep their individual assets.
Appleton has two children—19-year-old son Billy and 17-year-old daughter Kitty-blu –whom he fathered with hairdresser Katie Katon when he was 26. Appleton counts Kardashian, Dua Lipa and Jennifer Lopez among his star clients.
