All hail the Disney gods, a fresh new film is on its way. The first of an extensive list of live-action remakes set to hit cinemas in 2019 and after months of teasers, Disney’s Aladdin has finally received an official trailer. Dropping online today, a full look of the incoming film has been released and if you’re anything like us, our inner 12-year-old is positively screaming right now.

Earlier last month, we got a first look at Will Smith’s performance as the powerful Genie. Taking to Instagram, Smith confirmed with fans that he was in fact, very, very blue. “I told ya’ll I was gon’ be blue! Ya’ll need to trust me often,” his Instagram caption read. Now, we have a closer understanding of not only his role, but an insight into Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia; Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim.

Directed by Guy Ritchie and written by John August, the original story of Aladdin will see a fresh and modern reboot of the classic tale. Featuring original music and vibrant settings and costumes, fans of the beloved story are expected to be among the biggest critics as they compare details to that of the cartoon.

Slated to drop into cinemas from May 24 world wide, tune in below for the official trailer.
