Amongst the glamour and music at last nights 2019 Grammy Awards, fans at home were talking about one celebrity in particular of whom was not in attendance. Just as important as any other aspect of the ceremony, it was Will Smith’s latest project ‘Aladdin’ that took out the prime advertising spot on the night. A special look at the majestic remake of the Disney classic, we couldn’t help but stare at the his incredible transformation.

Taking to Instagram to tease a first look, Smith confirmed with fans that he was in fact, very, very blue. “I told ya’ll I was gon’ be blue! Ya’ll need to trust me often,” his Instagram caption read.

A modern and vibrant retelling of one of the world’s most love tales, the live-action teaser give fans a closer look at the characters, and the impressive setting in which the film will take place. Written by John August, directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Dan Lin, the recreation has been described as an “ambitious and non-traditional” take on the classic.

Along with the charismatic Will Smith, the film will star Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia; Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim.

One of three Disney remakes set for 2019 – including Dumbo and The Lion King – Aladdin is slated for release into cinemas on May 24. Watch the special look below.
