Each month, it would seem that there is a war of the streaming services happening right before our eyes in terms of who has the better viewer offerings.

This month, Amazon Prime has a host of new originals heading to its platform, plus some old favourites from the vault. Whether you’re in for a blockbuster night in, a thrilling binge-worthy series or a late night tear jerker, Amazon Prime will have you covered.

Here are all the new movies and TV series coming to Amazon Prime this July, including our favourites to watch.

The Terminal List

Headlining Amazon Prime’s July releases, The Terminal List is the action-packed thriller that follows Lt. Commander James Reece (Chris Pratt), a former solider struggling with PTSD who turns to vengeance as he investigates the mysterious forces behind the murder of his entire platoon.

Reece must apply the lessons he’s learned from nearly two decades of warfare to hunt down the people responsible.

The Terminal List comes from the TV adaptation of former Navy SEAL Jack Carr’s book series. Pratt serves as the film’s lead and executive producer.

Belfast

As the title suggests, Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar winning film Belfast is an ode to his city, community and family, set in the 1960s against the backdrop of Belfast. A personal film featuring an illustrious cast and rousing soundtrack by Van Morrison, Belfast is set to pull on the heart strings. Belfast was nominated for eight Oscars with Branagh taking home his first Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

American Made

This 2017 action comedy doesn’t get enough recognition for the solid film that it is. Hopefully its arrival on Amazon Prime will change that. Starring Top Gun’s Tom Cruise as Barry Seal, the real-life hustler and pilot who is unexpectedly recruited by he CIA to run one of the biggest covert operations in U.S. history.

Based on the outrageous true story, this is one of Cruise’s best films in years!
