Harry Styles has officially touched down in Venice for the highly-anticipated world premiere of Don’t Worry Darling. Ahead of the event on September 6, the singer and actor was photographed outside the airport in a perfect prequel to his red carpet style.
Naturally Styles was dressed in head-to-toe Gucci with a berry coloured double-breasted blazer, knitted monogrammed cardigan and ripped denim jeans from his forthcoming collaborative Gucci HA HA HA collection. The look was accessorised with seventies-inspired square sunglasses and matching leopard print luggage. Simply put, he looks magical. As a longtime collaborator of Alessandro Michele and we expect he will also wear Gucci on the red carpet.
Florence Pugh made a surprise arrival to Venice at the weekend via a private jet despite rumours she would not attend the event. According to a report from Variety, the actress will attend the red carpet and premiere but remain absent for the press conference. We’ll take it. It comes after gossip that Pugh is feuding with the film’s director and Styles’ girlfriend, Olivia Wilde.
The filmmaker briefly addressed the rumours in an interview with Variety, simply stating, “There has been a lot out there that I largely don’t pay attention to.”
Pugh has had frank conversations via the press on the upcoming thriller, especially about the casting of Styles. In a recent interview she said, “When it’s reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry.”
Pugh added, “Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that. That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this film is] bigger and better than that. And the people who made it are bigger and better than that.”
For Australian viewers, Don’t Worry Darling releases into cinemas from October 6.
