You might not recognise the name of Isaac Dunbar, but be rest assured that this young artist is about to flood your sound system, headphones or earphones with indie pop sounds. Hailing from Cape Cod in Massachusetts this 17-year-old is quickly making a name for himself. But don’t take it from me. He’s already been likened to multi-Grammy award winner Billie Eilish and Australia’s very own Troye Sivan, while Sam Smith has singled out Dunbar as one to watch.

This month, Dunbar released his latest EP evil twin. Featuring seven catchy tracks – a variation of heavy metal sounds, pop and laid back harmonies – it is a natural progression of his last bodies of work in 2019 and 2020. With a growing audience on Instagram as well as an impressive one million-plus listeners on Spotify, ICON caught up with the rising star. Below we fire 10 quick questions for further insight into the teen. You can also listen to his new EP below.
