A loss for short kings everywhere. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are reportedly heading divorce, with TMZ breaking the news on September 4.
Though neither the actress nor musician have addressed the claims themselves, the gossip publication has alleged the couple are “on the cusp” of filing for divorce.
According to sources speaking to the tabloid, representatives for the Jonas brother have contacted and consulted “at least two LA-area divorce lawyers”, with the star considering ending his marriage to the Game Of Thrones alumni.
Sources with intel have also disclosed that the pair have had “serious problems for at least six months”. They claim that Jonas has allegedly been caring for their two young daughters, Willa, 2 and her little sister born in 2022, “pretty much all of the time”.
News of their possible divorce emerged after photos of Jonas without his wedding ring began populating the zeitgeist.
It’s also rumoured that the recent sale of their former $15 million mid-Century Miami mansion could have signalled that the couple have suffered marital woes. Though, we can’t count on someone’s real estate portfolio to signal their relationship status.
Their reported break up would conclude four years of marriage.
The Louis Vuitton ambassador first connected with the former Disney star after he slid into her Instagram DMs in 2016.
Their virtual romance quickly blossomed into a real-life tryst, with the pair quickly becoming insurable and one of the most-watched Hollywood romances thanks to their relatable approach to dating.
Jonas proposed to Turner in 2017 with a pear-shaped diamond double-band ring, less than a year after their first date.
Their first wedding, which took place in a Las Vegas chapel in 2019, went viral after Diplo live-streamed the post-award show impromptu ceremony.
Less than a month later, Jonas and Turner hosted a second wedding, a lavish bucolic wedding hosted in the French countryside.
The Jonas Brothers will next appear on stage as part of their world-wide stadium tour on September 6. So, despite the couple’s silence it’s presumed the 34-year-old will address the situation then.
