Despite the anxiety and suffering that has been experienced over the last several months, the true potential of humanity has begun to shine through. From rooftop dating to hundreds of New Yorkers singing Biggie Smalls from their balconies, finally, good news is arriving for a much needed relief from the fact and figures of the pandemic. A Quiet Place director and actor John Krasinski recognised this and has fashioned his living room into a studio dedicated to new YouTube channel, Some Good News.

“After reading those replies and the incredibly heartwarming stories that came with them, I thought, ‘All right. Enough is enough, world. Why not us? Why not now?’ So, ladies and gentlemen, this is your fault, and this is SGN. I’m John Krasinski, and if it isn’t clear yet, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing,” Krasinski said.

The 15-minute episode begins with heartwarming content from the days past and this week even features a celebrity interview with old co-star Steve Carell to celebrate the 15th anniversary of television sitcom, The Office. Reflecting on Krasinski’s burst into the television industry as well as their favourite on-set moments, it was the kind of wholesome content we need. And thus far, the video is trending at #3 on the video service with 708,000 subscribers already.
