By now, you would have witnessed supermarkets stripped bare of toilet paper across the globe and physical brawls break out as a result. Toilet paper – though I can’t understand its defence against COVID-19 – has become the new commodity. But if you want a one-up on your hoarding neighbour, Lil Yachty has the answer for you.

Taking to Instagram overnight, the rapper revealed he would be reselling his BAPE branded toilet paper for $500 USD in a playful attempt at some positivity and of course, a healthy profit.

“As you all may have heard, I went broke a while back so I’ve decided to flip designer toilet paper as a new career,” Yatchy wrote. “So, BAPE toilet paper. Sure, the price may be a little steep, but it’s a rare necessity currently. So $500.”

First released in 2007, the BAPE toilet paper features the brand’s iconic mascot, Baby Milo, printed across it. A similar four-pack was sold on Grailed for a mere $40 so Lil Yachty is a hopeful man indeed.

Will he manage to sell it? In lockdown hysteria, he might just.
