OMNIA Bali hosts ICON at the opening weekend of Uluwatu’s first luxury bottle service, global dance music destination situated on the cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean, featuring DJ’s Richie Hawtin, Martin Garrix and Marshmello.

Day 1 – Thursday

Flying with Virgin Australia, we arrived at Bali’s international airport of Denpasar where we were greeted by the friendly staff of the OMNIA team. The home of the new day club is situated in Uluwatu which is approximately a one-hour drive from the airport.

Day 2 – Friday

The feeling of waking up in a luxurious villa is second to none, to top it off it was 29 degrees at 7am with the sun a spectacular blazing orange.

We were invited down to breakfast at the famous CIRE Restaurant, just a five minute walk from the villa overlooking the pristine pool. Breakfast included a diverse range of traditional Balinese and Western menu options so I opted for the scrambled eggs, pancakes and nasi goreng – I’m a big believer of a well-balanced approach whilst on holidays.

Located in a quieter spot away from the restaurants and villas of the resort I booked in for a microdermabrasion – a popular cosmetic procedure for treating a large range of skin concerns. The treatment included a surprise foot and back massage which helped me feel alive once more. The team were helpful and had the time to fit me within a busy schedule.

I returned to my room where I used the in-house Samsung tablet to order room-service – the food arrived within 40 minutes and the staff kindly placed lunch outside in the sun. I enjoyed the dreamy views that Alila has to offer while relaxing in the luxurious villa – what a dream.

The most anticipated event of the day had arrived – the black carpet. We were escorted through a back entrance to OMNIA BALI where we were greeted by the team to show us to our table over looking the whole venue. The atmosphere was buzzy, electric and the cocktails, just WOW! The headliner for the event, Marshmello had unfortunately missed his flight so the iconic Martin Garrix offered to play a set until Marshmello arrived (no complaining here). We sat next to the Dj booth – the best seat in the house – while they played, and enjoyed all the offerings of OMNIA.

Day 3 – Saturday

Still not tired of waking up in my amazing villa we walked down to breakfast for another ocean-side treat.

Straight after breakfast we drove an hour-and-a-half to the most east part of Bali called Padangbai, where we boarded our ‘super-yacht’. It was definitely worth the drive and the locals welcomed us with flowers. The area was almost untouched, and was a great place to snorkel to view the loads of colourful fish and coral.

After a day of exploring we arrived back at OMNIA for a set featuring Martin Garrix. What a performance – he was an hour late but WOW, did he make up for that. Starting off with his classic track “Animals”, the dj had the crowd bouncing with everyone having the best time, myself included. We were even invited backstage to party with his crew.

Shortly after, we arrived at Quila Restaraunt and had a private section laid out for us. The setting was comforting and relaxing, especially after the set from Martin Garrix. The food was amazing. It was the perfect way to chat to other people in our group and learn about each other’s background.

Later that night we couldn’t help but attending Garrix’s afterparty in his own villa. It was breathtaking, the vibe was unreal and we continued to party until 2am.

Day 4 – Sunday

My last day waking up in paradise! A little worse for wear this morning but so was most of the crew, the perfect opportunity to take the time to chill.

For lunch, we were taken to Sake No Hana – a Japanese restaurant inside the spectacular OMNIA. We were informed that Chef Hideki Hiwatashi, who is the head chef in Las Vegas, had flown out overnight designing a special menu for the group –  and let me tell you, the food was incredible! The stand out dish was the wagyu beef and the sushi was just on another level.

After lunch, we made our way down to our very own private cabana which felt more like a European day club and gave a perfect chilled out vibe. We didn’t stay long as we had to make our way to the airport for our flight back to Australia.

All in all, a place I would definitely return with a big group of friends to share the experience.

From November, the resort will open OMNIA Hotel where there will be rooms overlooking the club. It would certainly be a place to be apart of the party with the option also to book a room on the other side of the building if you want to leave the party at the club.

OMNIA Bali is open daily from 11am – 10.30pm situated at Jl. Belimbing Sari, Banjar Tambiyak. Desa Pecatu, Uluwatu. Bali.
