Buckingham Palace has firmly dismissed the notion of Prince Harry rejoining royal responsibilities. According to sources, the Duke of Sussex finds himself at a point of no return following his and Meghan Markle’s dramatic departure in 2020 and their subsequent public critiques of the royal family.

Despite these circumstances, there appears to be “zero percent chance” for Harry to assume any royal duties, even as his father, King Charles III, faces cancer treatment and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, recovers from abdominal surgery.

This stance comes in light of reports from Page Six indicating that Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, would be prepared to undertake royal obligations if called upon. “I think Harry would help if his dad asked him,” a source conveyed, suggesting that while Harry is open to supporting his family, he is unlikely to volunteer without being asked.

In a recent gesture that underscores his familial ties, Harry returned to the UK for a brief visit with King Charles III shortly after the King’s cancer diagnosis was publicly announced. During an interview with Good Morning America, Harry shared, “I spoke to him. I jumped on a plane and went to see him as soon as I could.” He expressed his gratitude for being able to visit his father, highlighting, “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

However, the visit was notably brief, lasting just over 24 hours with only a 30-minute meeting with his father. This fleeting interaction has been a point of discussion, reflecting the ongoing complexities within the royal family dynamics.

The relationship between Harry and his father has been strained, particularly following Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. The situation was further aggravated by the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, last year, which offered an unfiltered look into his life and experiences within the royal family. This backdrop of tension and public disclosures has contributed to the current state of affairs, where Harry’s potential role within the royal family remains uncertain, even in times of personal and health crises.
