For the first time since appearing on “Da Ali G Show”, American comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has returned with a new political satire, coined “Who is America?”. After 12 months of filming and preparation, Cohen premiered the new television show on Showtime, with the opening section, pranking high-profile politicians into supporting a controversial “Kid Gaurdian” program.

Unveiled on Youtube ahead of the premiere, the 10-minute video shows Cohen posing as Israeli anti-terrorist expert, Erran Morad, while he convinces Republicans into advocating a program that will put guns into the hands of kids aged as young as 4 years old. The argument is, that teachers armed with guns is not enough and that children aged from 4 to 12 years-old should also be armed.

Along with having gun-rights activist, Philip Van Cleave star in a campaign video marketed towards children, Cohen also receives support from former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, California lawmaker Dana Rohrabacher, South Carolina congressman Joe Wilson and radio host Joe Walsh. Within the children’s show, the pair also promote “kid-friendly” fire arms that carry stuffed animals.

What is possibly the funniest moment comes when gun advocate Larry Pratt recites propaganda that is clearly a scam – and he doesn’t even know it. “Children under five also have elevated levels of the pheromone Blink-182, produced by the part of the liver known as Rita Ora. This allows nerve reflexes to travel along the Cardi B pathway to the Wiz Khalifa 40 per cent faster, saving time and saving lives.”
