A new pair of sneakers is as good as holiday. I don’t think that’s an official saying but it sounds appropriate.
Rapid shifts in footwear codes this year alone has seen seemingly unstoppable the dad shoe make way for stealth wealth low-cuts before evolving into the runner-as-fashion and back again. But this is a good thing: the more the merrier and more is definitely more when it comes to sneakers.
On our covet list this month is a mix of new legends and classic icons including adidas, who recently launched their new campaign centring the enduring legacy of the brand’s Originals starring David Beckham and scream queen Jenna Ortega and has us craving the simplicity of the Samba. It’s unassuming silhouette and streamlined style remains peerless.

Prada’s work of challenging convention by deconstructing the codes they’re built on result in clothing that is always thought provoking. Same to be said for their sneakers. Exaggerated elements contrast with minimalist details and unexpected materials such as “bike fabric”. A sneaker for those who want to question the purpose of a sneaker.
