In a succinctly delivered piece of news via Instagram, Tiffany & Co has given people a sneak-peak at their upcoming collaboration with Nike.

That’s right – an official Tiffany & Co x Nike collab is on the way that will see the iconic Nike Air Force 1 reimagined with Tiffany-inspired detailing.

The teaser image depicts a simple Nike shoe box but finished entirely in the familiar Tiffany & Co colour way.

But like most things in life, it’s what on the inside that matters. The sneaker itself is a familiar Nike Air Force 1 finished in a plush black suede,  a Tiffany robin’s egg blue Swoosh and a silver bar with Tiffany & Co engraving on the heel.

Accompanying the sneaker is a set of Tiffany x Nike accessories – a silver shoe horn; toothbrush and a pair of Tiffany & Co-hued laces.

While this is the first official collab between the two brands, Nike have in fact previously released a Tiffany & Co “inspired” sneaker, the Tiffany Dunks which sold out in minutes. Resale on these rare birds are now hitting the thousands, with one pair on StockX selling for $4261.

Tiffany & Co has been working hard on redefining its image for younger audiences in recent years. There was the capsule with fellow New York brand Supreme and the collaboration with artist Daniel Arsham as well as the launch of a limited edition Tiffany & Co NFT.

The pivotal moment of speaking to a new generation of Tiffany & Co lovers could be seen in the launch of their 2021 campaign featuring Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z and the painting “Equals Pi” by Jean-Michel Basquiat. In the campaign, Beyoncé is wearing one of the jewellery house’s most famous pieces: a 128-carat yellow diamond.

No date has been set for the release of the collaboration nor whether they will be available in-store or online only (and which brand will be selling them direct) but there’s no doubt that once it is, calendars and clocks will be set. You can sign up for updates from the Tiffany & Co website here.
