From film to fashion, a nineties renaissance is upon us. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of those beloved past times that have been thrust back into mainstream media with a reunion special fast approaching.

Featuring the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith, and the original cast from the acclaimed series, including Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons and recurring co-star DJ Jazzy Jeff, the 30th anniversary Reunion Special will take place on the Banks Family lounge room set and see Smith sit down and chat with former co-star Janet Hubert, who originated the role of Aunt Viv, for the first time in 27-years.

For Australian viewers, you can catch the reunion special on local streaming platform, Stan. And in celebration of the cast back on the small screen, every episode ever (we’re talking 148 episodes), will be available to binge watch from Thursday November 19.

The series sees Will Smith star as a teenager from inner city Philadelphia who’s sent to California to live with his wealthy relatives in the hopes that they will “straighten him out and teach him some good old-fashioned values.” But once he arrives, Will quickly take his place as ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’, shaking up the family dynamic and the entire town with his own unique flavour.

Earlier this year, Bel-Air remake was announced. Based off a fan-film conceived by Morgan Cooper, it is expected to be a more serious, gritty interpretation of the 90’s TV series. Will Smith’s production company Westbrook Studios, which he runs with wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, will produce Bel-Air with Universal TV and is already green lit for at least two seasons. Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, check out the reunion trailer below and mark your calendars for November 19.
