While we may have to wait until March 2022 for the release of The Batman, new images have emerged from on-set of the highly anticipated film. In addition to a new look at Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell as Penguin has been revealed.

Filming reportedly took place at St. George’s Hall in Liverpool, England which is believed to be the depiction of the funeral of Gotham City Mayor Don Mitchell Jr.,  aka the first victim of Riddler (played Paul Dano) in the film’s trailer. Alongside the rest of the cast, Farrell is clearly wearing heavy prosthetics and makeup and complete with a leather coat, sports the iconic black umbrella which can be seen in past portrayals of the character.

The new images suggest that Robert Pattinson is well again after testing positive to COVID-19 in early September, just one week after the film trailer was release. Production was halted and a new release date of March 2022 (instead of October 2021) has been set.

Stay tuned for further developments as they happen.
