Earlier this week, the who’s who of the fashion world gathered together at London’s Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the annual iteration of The Fashion Awards 2021. So, we thought it pertinent to curate a list of our top five best dressed men from the glitz and glamour that unfolded, from American heartthrob Nick Jonas to Gossip Girl’s ‘It’ boy, Evan Mock.
Hosted by actor Billy Porter, a sea of the industry’s most creative extraordinaires were present to celebrate the fashion triumphs of the year, as well as to recognise – and acknowledge – designers who continue to create positive change that ultimately is shaping a brighter future in fashion.
With this particular Fashion Awards held in-person – a first since 2019 – the mood was sombre due to the recent passing of visionary designer Virgil Abloh, CEO of Off-White and artistic director of Louis Vuitton. Although, it was mostly a night of celebration, not only in paying respect to the late great artist, but to celebrate the industry’s standout stars.
Naturally, being a night to celebrate everything and anything fashion, you would expect the style stakes to be incredibly high, and the red carpet certainly did not disappoint. With guests encouraged to dress boldly, many pulled off stellar looks to boot.
As such, we have curated a list of five of the best dressed men for The Fashion Awards 2021.
While Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were by far the most stylish couple of the night, it’s Jonas’ getup that we fancied most. Seen in a sleek black mohair and silk tuxedo from Maison Margiela, Jonas accentuated his look with a bright red pair of Maison Margiela x Reebok Tabi sneakers.
The star of HBO’s Gossip Girl reboot, Evan Mock was seen in a full Fendi kit, with monogrammed pants and a matching jacket. A little unexpected but perhaps that’s why we love its… did anyone say Après-ski?
Olympic hero Tom Daley was seen in a stellar sartorial getup, wearing a midnight navy pinstripe double-breasted suit courtesy of Dior. It was only fitting then that he present the award for Designer of the Year… awarded to none other than Mr. Kim Jones himself.
The Irish actor certainly knows how to achieve ‘a look’, dressed to the nines in a vintage-esque gold Gucci suit. The statement jacket was detailed with a lemon-yellow satin intricately detailed with embroidery. To finish his look, Mescal was seen to be sporting a 2021 Cloche de Cartier – an ultra-rare timepiece limited to only 100 pieces.
An astute sartorial loyalist, David Gandy never disappoints in the fashion department. The Fashion Awards 2021 was no exception, looking as dapper as ever in a shawl lapel tuxedo supported by a dashing navy overcoat.
