For three years, the luxury maison’s signature Manhattan haunt has undergone epoch-defining renovations, contemporising the 10-storey boutique into a modern architectural marvel that’s just as magnificent as the decadent jewels in which it houses.
For the 186-year-old brand, this monumental milestone was revered with a star-studded soiree, with a glistening guest list that rivals the gilded accessories and objects of affection situated over 110,000 square footage over Fifth Avenue and 57th Street.
Given the awe-inspiring boutique, which is reported to be the biggest investment made by LVMH for a single store, has been renamed “The Landmark”—an apt title for arguably one of New York’s most iconic attractions—it was only natural for Tiffany & Co. to invite a stellar display of fashion icons to the fête.
House ambassador Hailey Bieber sartorially referenced Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress from Breakfast At Tiffany’s— the original manuscript of Truman Capote’s café society novella can even be found on hidden in one of the many corners of the store—completing her look with a perfectly fitting robin egg manicure.
Bieber’s Tiffany Blue glazed doughnut manicure may even serve as inspiration for the menu at Tiffany’s Blue Box café. Breakfast at Tiffany’s indeed.
Elsewhere, Florence Pugh’s new blunt bob paid homage the high-octane yellow of the $30 million dollar Tiffany Diamond, worn famously only three times by some of the most prolific women in history. That counts Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Audrey Hepburn, if you’re wondering.
