Back in August of this year, images emerged of Donald Glover and co-star Rihanna as they were shooting for a new film in Cuba. Reported by local media at the time, the project was dubbed “Guava Island”, and after fans have waited for more information, it appears that the trailer has been leaked online.
A first look at the movie was posted to Twitter on the final night of Glover’s three-night Pharos festival in New Zealand, and while the storyline remains unclear, we now know what to expect from the upcoming project. Reportedly directed by Hiro Murai – the filmmaker behind Glover’s “This Is America“, film clip – Glover and Rihanna will play a couple as they navigate their surroundings. The film showcases music from the pair as well as the rapper’s outlandish dance moves and will also feature Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie.
