Tyler, The Creator is not only a purveyor of difficult trends, his endless success in the music industry proves the artist is a tastemaker in hip hop and RnB. This week, his talents were recognised at the Adobe Max 2020 Creativity Conference, where he appeared… interviewing himself?

“The following program is intended only for mature audiences. Viewer discretion is advised,” warned the livestream. Before adding, “We’re serious. Mature audiences only.”

Sitting down with himself and another interviewer, Tyler, The Creator donned his signature bucket hat in one look, and fur lined hoodie and New York Yankees cap in another look. Clocking in at almost five minutes, the rapper asks himself a number of questions including his top five favourite albums. They come in as:

– In Search of… by N.E.R.D.
– Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem
– In My Mind by Pharrell
– Mama’s Gun by Erykah Badu

He unfortunately stops there (we expect him to say his own). In another question, the rapper also lists his favourite films.

– Napoleon Dynamite
– Scary Movie 2
– 20th Century Women
– The Cat In The Hat

Elsewhere, Tyler, The Creator says schools should teach students how to do taxes (we stan with that one), and that he prefers day to night because,“I f*cking love sunlight”. Us too, Tyler, us too. You can watch the interview here. With that in mind, we know exactly what we will do this weekend.

The lineup for the Creativity Conference includes a number of other stars including, Zendaya, Awkwafina, Gwyneth Paltrow, Wes Anderson, Common, Taika Waitit.
