There was speculation. Then there was confirmation. And now, the world is privy to a first look at the highly touted Yeezy Gap collaboration by Kanye West, engineered by Balenciaga… and it’s available now to pre-order.

Fans of Ye’s creative ventures have already witnessed the ‘Perfect Hoodie‘ in a slew of pop-colours – arguably the collection’s most popular item thus far, selling out within minutes – to the signature ‘Round Jacket’ which presented a bold start to the famed collaboration.

Now, a suite of imagery has been revealed to show just what we can expect from the upcoming collection (the drop was rumoured to drop this week in line with Ye’s DONDA 2 concert in Miami). Think over-sized t-shirts, denim staples, pants and more hoodies, all carrying the signature Yeezy style blended with the darkly futuristic aesthetic of Demna’s Balenciaga.

Hate it, love it, wanna cop it; however you feel about the Yeezy Gap Collection Engineered by Balenciaga, you have to admire the creative process helmed by Ye and Demna.

After designing all of Ye’s DONDA Merchandise – as well as the merch for the listening parties – Balenciaga’s creative director Demna was always a shoo-in for this collaboration of creative forces.

“It is a vision come true to work with Gap and Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, to make incredible products available to everyone at all times,” says Kanye West via Vogue.

The feelings were mutual, according to Demna via Vogue.

“This is a very different challenge. I’ve always appreciated the utilitarianism and the accessibility of Gap, [but] this project allowed me to join forces [with Ye] to create utilitarian fashion for all.”

A press release made on the Yeezy Gap website confirmed “in continued alignment of Ye’s creative endeavors, an intersection of music, art and culture, this debut offering coincides with Ye’s Donda 2 listening experience performance in Miami,” the press release says.

The debut collection reflects “Ye and Demna’s shared vision of utilitarian design, and represents an unnamed hope for the future.”

The collection is now available for pre-order via the Yeezy Gap website and Farfetch. But don’t expect prices to be as palatable as the first Yeezy Gap collection; you can expect to pay around $720 for the denim jacket, $240 a piece for the 3/4 sleeve and long-sleeved T-shirts, $420 for the hoodies and $320 for the fitted sweatpants.
