Trust Cardi B to say what others won’t.

Yesterday, the Bodak Yellow rapper took to Instagram with yet another entertaining rant – but this time, it was not only relevant but may of made a difference politically – who knew. Three weeks since the initial shutdown and the Whitehouse still refuses to budge, with Donald Trump ordering government staff to return to work without pay, and the celebrity isn’t having it.

Shutting down a number of organisations for several weeks, the country is now at a stand still as Trump continues his tantrum with the aim of having his border wall approved.

“I just wanna remind you that it’s been a little bit over three weeks,” the singer says in a video posted to Instagram, yesterday. “Trump is now ordering … federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid. This s**t is really f**king serious, bro. This s**t is crazy. Our country is in a hellhole now — all for a f**king wall,” she continued.

“I feel like we need to take some action…”

And apparently, the Democrats agree. Brian Schatz, United States Senator for Hawaii debated whether or not to retweet her post. And other politicians have followed suit.

“Omg, I had the same argument with myself 30 minutes ago!,” Sen. Chris Murphy wrote back.

“Ok you do it. And say retweets are not endorsements, especially the language, and I will retweet,” Schatz replied.

“Guys, I’m still holding my breath. Are you gonna RT Cardi B or not?,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer then replied.

Cardi B’s video has been liked over 11 million times. The only question we have left now is, how long will the government shutdown continue?
