There is no secret behind what major fashion players are the most influential, but who made the top spot? Popular shopping platform Lyst has unveiled its research and figures from its Q4 2020 report this week and the hottest brands of the year have been named. Almost unsurprisingly, Gucci took out the top spot last quarter thanks to its collaboration with The North Face, Gucci Fest and our obsession with Harry Styles.
Next down on the list was none other than Balenciaga. In the latter half of 2020, the Paris fashion house unveiled its Fall/Winter 2021 collection in video game form (genius) and also collaborated with Vibram.
This is where it gets interesting. Moncler pipped Off-White for third place, while the Virgil Abloh led brand sat at number four, dropping two places from Q3. Following is Prada, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Valentino and finally Fendi at number 10.
Surprisingly, Nike scraped in at number 11, dropping from third place in the previous quarter. This could be due to a quiet period although the sporting giant did publish Nike: Better is Temporary with Phaidon and introduced Nike Unite – a new retail concept. Elsewhere, Jacquemus came in at number 13, Adidas at 18 and Stone Island making its debut in the list at 19.
