Seems Jacob Elordi has learnt the golden rule of men’s style: never underestimate the impact of a carefully curated piece of jewellery can make to your outfit. Or several, as the case may be.

Attending the media call for his new film, the Sofia Coppola-directed Priscilla in which he plays Elvis, Elordi was rocking a greige Bottega Veneta silk viscose jacket and matching trousers paired with a black cotton button-up shirt from Matthieu Blazy’s pre-fall 2023 collection. But it was what was we spied glittering on the 26-year-old’s hands that caught our full attention: a yellow gold Tiffany & Co. HardWear bracelet and and gold signet ring.

Combined with the discrete pocket watch, a pair of Jacques Marie Mage Grand Prix sunglasses it was a perfect balance of handsome rakishness. With the moustache and subtle mullet, the Brisbane native looked like the fun uncle at a family barbecue who would give you a secret sip of his beer when your parents aren’t looking.

The unisex pieces were both subtle yet statement making. The chain of gauge links on the bracelet carried enough weight that they played into the masculine styling of Elordi’s suit and general vibe but also minimal enough that they didn’t become the sole focus. Which is the sign of someone who truly knows the art of dressing.

The signet ring was, in our eyes, the pièce de résistance. Once a mainstay of men’s accessories, the signet or pinky ring as its been commonly known fell out of mainstream fashion during the 70s. Elordi’s Tiffany & Co edition is 18 karat gold and plain bezel.

While not as decadent as his character in Priscilla, Elordi is definitely channelling some of the King’s panache for fashion.
