Is Kanye West running for president? Or isn’t he? No one is quite sure of West’s political status as of yet but following what was meant to be a campaign rally in Charleston, South Carolina this week has left many people shocked and concerned for the mental state of the rapper. Attending the rally in a bulletproof vest and ‘2020’ shaved into his hair, West went on a rant-fuelled rampage speaking on his daughter North, abortion and Harriet Tubman.

As TMZ reports, friends and family of West are concerned this is another manic bipolar episode, after the rapper and designer revealed he suffered from serious mental health issues during the release of his 2018 album ‘Ye. According to People, sources close to Kim Kardashian says she is “furious” with West following comments of their daughter. “Kim is shocked that Kanye spoke about North at the rally. She is furious that he shared something so private. She loves her kids tremendously and wants to protect them,” the source says. “Her favourite thing in the world is being a mum.”
There are concerns that the private revelations will effect their four children in years to come. The comments referred to are:
“I was having the rapper’s lifestyle… I was sitting up in Paris, and I had my leather pants on … and I had my laptop up and I got all of my creative ideas. And the screen went black and white and God said, ‘if you fuck with my vision I’m going to fuck with yours’.
“And I called my wife and she said, we’re gonna have this baby. I said we’re gonna have this child … So even if my wife were to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world when I didn’t want to. She stood up and she protected that child.”

Kanye West has always had a pro-life stance when it comes to planned parenthood. In an interview with Forbes earlier this month, he said, “Planned Parenthoods have been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work.”
