If you’re a diehard fan of The Office then you’re probably aware of every single episode. And with that in mind, it’s possible you know exactly what I’m talking about when I mention Episode 17 of Season 7. First aired February 2011, the episode features Michael Scott (played by Steve Carrell) and another of his curious passion projects as he finally presents his action flick, “Threat Level Midnight,” to Holly and his staffers after an 10-year creative process.
It follows Michael Scarn/Michael Scott who has to go up against Goldenface/Jim Halpert (John Krasinski). While stopping Goldenface from killing seven hostages and blowing up NHL All-Star Game, Scarn learns that the President/Darryl Philbin (Craig Robinson) was in on the plan all along. Adding another layer to the amateur film, a romance plot line is also included with Jasmine Windsong/Angela Martin (Angela Kinsey).
Unfortunately the 24-minute episode doesn’t reveal the full film – that is, until now. As if Christmas has come early, The Office has released Threat Level Midnight in its standalone, entirety.
