They saying is blood is thicker and water and hopefully that proves equally true for blue blood as it does for the rest of us reports suggest Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, are setting aside time in September for “peace talks”.
Royal watchers – of which there are many and sussing out what’s fact and what’s fan fiction is forever a Herculean battle – have said that the Prince and King are due to meet in September – the 17th to be exact – and attempt to repair their relationship.
The cause of the family feud lay in the revelations put forth not only in Prince Harry’s controversial memoir, Spare, but also in the accusations made by him and his wife, Meghan Markle who, it’s said, will not be joining Harry for The Talk.
It’s been claimed that one of the royal family, and sources have alleged this was Charles, asked what the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children might look like. According to Christopher Andersen’s book on the British royals Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan, it was alleged that someone [Charles] asked the question “I wonder what the children will look like.”
It continues with the unnamed person clarifying “I mean, what do you suppose their children’s complexion might be?”
The younger Prince has also gone into depth about how abandoned he felt by his family and the lack of support he received during the earliest days of his marriage to Markle. It’s no secret that the British press has been particularly focused on painting Markle in a negative light. Right down to attacking her for eating avocados while praising Kate Middleton for the exact same thing.
According to reports, the premise of the meeting is to close the book – literally – on airing out the family’s laundry for the world to see. King Charles is said that he “will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business discussed in public moving forward,” as he was “mortally wounded” by what what Prince Harry has said regarding the Royal Family.
