In what is one of the coolest watch collaborations of 2022, iconic watch brand Casio has teamed up with fashion label rag & bone for an exclusive partnership to celebrate the New York brand’s 20th anniversary.
The new line of limited-edition watches embody the elements that have made the respective brands as renowned as the are today, both synonymous with design, function and style. Together with rag & bone’s uncompromising ideals of individuality, Casio adds its iconic yet timeless design DNA to create a collaboration that is sleek, simple but in every way elevated.
“It’s an honour to work alongside an iconic brand like rag & bone to launch CASIO Vintage Premium,” says Phil Chester of Casio. “These styles highlight both brands’ commitment to individuality and epitomise the elevated quality of the CASIO Vintage Premium Range.”
Many people will be familiar with the classic design of Casio’s early digital watches; after all, they were responsible for developing one of the world’s first digital wristwatches. Now, Casio brings its iconic A1000 into a new light – a premium model that forms a part of Casio’s vintage iconic collection – and a successful iteration that not only revisits its digital watch roots seamlessly, but integrates the design codes of rag & bone.
Together, the two brands have harmoniously built a modernised version of the A1000D, crafting it to the exact same specs but utilising premium materials with signature details synonymous to the rag & bone label.
The new collaborative timepieces highlight both brands’ commitment to functional yet beautiful design that transcends generations. The new A1000RCB-1B and A1000RCG-8 are finished in sandblasted, monochromatic matte black and gunmetal shades. The dial offers a thin profile that tapers on the wrist nicely. The dial features scratch-resistant mineral glass and a super-clear illuminator LCD display.
The monochromatic band and case work effortlessly well with adorned rag & bone motifs, and the bracelet – one of our favourite aspects of this watch – is made up of a five-row solid metal band that any Casio wearer knows is supremely comfortable.
