In recent years, it has become standard practice for celebrities to own their own alcohol company, Last month, Ryan Reynolds sold his spirits company, Aviation Gin, for $845 million AUD. Post Malone creates his own rosé, Maison No. 9, while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a tequila label. Now, Snoop Dogg has joined the alcohol business with his own gin company.

As reported by USA TodaySnoop Dogg has revealed on Wednesday he is partnering with Trusted Spirits and Prestige Beverage Group to launch his own brand of gin called Indoggo gin. The rapper and his partners have described the gin as “laid-back” gluten-free liquor that is “smooth like the D.O. double G.”

“I can’t wait for the world to taste my remix on gin!” Snoop Dogg said in a press release. “When I wrote ‘Gin & Juice’ back in ’94 it was about good feelings and real experiences, it just naturally became a global anthem,” Snoop continued.

It reportedly took two years to develop the gin which was on par for the artist’s taste standard, with the co-founder of Trusted Spirits, Keenan Towns, describing the ‘Gin N Juice’ singer as a “Gin Connoisseur”. Indoggo will launch in Snoop’s home state of California in late September before launching nationally. It is not known if it will be made available in countries such as Australia. The five-time distilled Gin will retail from $30 USD.

This isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg has dabbled in the art of spirits. In 2014, he inked a deal to become a shareholder and ambassador for Brazilian spirit Cuca Fresca. He has also partnered with the Australian commercial wine label 19 Crimes to launch Snoop Cali Red.
