Minimalist label Nique has been offering modern and monochromatic staples since its inception in Melbourne more than a decade ago. Since its early beginnings, the conversation around gender fluidity has become more prevalent than ever and to celebrate the global movement of individuality and androgyny, Spring 2019 will see the brand’s latest collection.

Revealed via the depths of St James’ abandoned train tunnels in the CBD of Sydney, the Australian brand brought forth U by Nique. Offering 17 unisex looks, the fresh collection includes a tailored jacket, suit pants, distressed knits and slouchy basics all boasting the considered sensibilities of the refined label. But perhaps its hero piece comes in the form of a hooded silver anorak jacket.

“The launch of a distinct unisex range was a natural progression for the brand. We were inspired by our customers and the way they shop NIQUE – Men are drawn to our Women’s trousers – Women to our Men’s Shirts. They are naturally gender fluid and know what suits them irreverent of how we have designed the collection,” NIQUE Creative Director, Nadia Jones has said.

Crafted from a crinkle nylon, the anorak offers a technical sportswear element thanks to a reflective interior, drawstring hoodie, concealed zip closure and side hand pockets. Additionally, its lightweight style allows for easy layering and makes it the perfect transitional piece for the changing season. Designed for a regular fit, it makes for unisex appeal.
