Last week, Twitter exploded as Kid Cudi teased a mysterious new project, coined the “Asterisk Collective.” With no further details other than its plans to showcase “the power of creativity”, it has been revealed that the mystery initiative is in fact a collaboration with Adidas.

Aimed towards empowering individuals and bringing music, sport and creativity together, the collective will see a collaborative force from the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Donovan Mitchell, Candace Parker, Raury, H.E.R. and of course Kid Cudi. It’s first act? A new TRESC Run colourway.

To debut the new collective, Adidas have refreshed its brand-new TRESC Run silhouette. Released just last month, the sneaker looks to the Adidas archive for ’90s inspired design. Featuring a mesh upper, dressed with leather and suede overlays, the fresh iteration boasts an “Active Red” tone, reimagined with white, blue, green and black accents and finished off with Asterisk Collective branding. The colourway doesn’t stop there however, with its bold colours also seen on a semi-translucent sole.

The Asterisk Collection adidas Originals TRESC Run “Active Red” colourway will drop on December 20 for $130 USD. You can cop the sneakers from the online store

While you wait, take a closer look at the silhouette below.
