New Zealand Fashion Week albeit on the smaller side of the runway circuit is quickly becoming the hot spot fashion destination for up-and-coming designers as well as sustainable style. Taking to the capital, harbour city of Auckland, niche favourites including Salasai and Stolen Girlfriends Club held hotly-anticipated shows and in turn garnered a cool kid cult of influencers, editors and buyers from around the world.

Spring was certainly in the air across the week however with a cool sting in the wind – an Auckland signature – guests and show goers rugged up in layers. Double denim, tonal ensembles and pops of colour were the style cues of choice, naturally finished off with oversized outerwear.

When it came to sneakers, the city of Auckland was in a blaze of coveted silhouettes, luxury iterations – Balenciaga was a common designer of choice – as well as avant garde colourways. So while we wait for the mercury to rise, cop some street style inspiration and on-foot envy below.
