END and Massachusetts-based Saucony have joined forces to celebrate New England’s most loved dish, the lobster. In what seems to be a bizarre collaboration has produced one of the coolest drops of the season.
Adapting the running brand’s GRID 8500 silhouette, the team have added mimicked textures of the sea creature, featuring bright orange leather and accents of suede and orange or blue cord laces. To push the lobster motif even further, the inner sole is printed with the left and right claw of the crustacean on each respective foot.
If you thought the shoe itself was epic, the packaging also pulls out all the stops and includes a fish net and a bespoke display tank – now that’s taking design to the next level.
