Everything New Coming to Netflix this Month

The best binge-worthy shows and films to hit Netflix this month

With the new month comes a slew of new (and old) titles set to hit our screens via the much-loved streaming platform, Netflix. And while sometimes too many options can prove a burden – the struggle is real – we’ve made your job of choosing a reputable title a tad easier by collating our favourite must-watch shows and films for the month of February.

Here are all the new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this February, including our favourites to watch…

Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy

The highly anticipated documentary from musical genius Kanye ‘Ye’ West forms a three-part film (totalling seven and a half hours of viewing) that will showcase Kanye West in his youth as he navigates the music industry, the learnings from his mother Donda, his dealings with Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records and more.

The documentary is not without controversy, of course. Just last week, Ye stated via Instagram that the documentary won’t be released unless he is granted access to final edits and approvals.

Jeen-Yuhs Directors Coodie and Chike have other views however, stating in an interview with Rolling Stone that they will not be granting West his request to an “open edit room”.

Murderville

Based on the British sitcom Murder in Successville, Murderville is finally hitting our screens and we couldn’t be more excited for the ‘Law & Order’ meets ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’ crime comedy. Murderville stars Will Arnett (Arrested Development) as the goofy senior detective Terry Seattle, with the semi-improvised show inviting a different celebrity each week to help Arnett solve a crime.

The catch? The ‘celebrities’ (think Sharon Stone, Kumail Nanjiani and Conan O’Brien) don’t get a script.

Vikings: Valhalla

If Vikings has cast a hole in your heart since finishing up in 2020, then its highly-anticipated sequel series Vikings:Valhalla is a must-watch new series for you. Set at the end of the Viking era in the early 11^th century, Valhalla sets the Vikings on a mission to conquer England as revenge for the slaughter of their people. Expect blood and gore as this brutal teaser offers us a sense of what is in store for the Vikings franchise…

Inventing Anna

Based off the New York magazine article that went viral in 2018, Inventing Anna follows the life of 27-year-old woman Anna Delvey – aka Anna Sorokin – who is played by Emmy award-winning actor Julia Garner (Ozark), who had been scamming her way through New York City by pretending to be a German heiress. The story unravels her wild spending and extremely suspicious behaviour to defrauding acquaintances and banks to her eventual downfall.
