As part of a new concept of limited-series ‘Icona’ cars, Ferrari has unveiled its Monza SP1 & SP2 sports cars. Combining 1950’s-inspired design with state-of-the-art technology, this could be one of the most luxurious performance cars yet.

Drawing inspiration from the 1948 166 MM, 750 Monza, and 860 Monza, the SP1 & SP2 is a unique concept not currently seen anywhere else. Like many old-school styles, the SP1 incorporates a single-seat design, with an added tonneau cover and innovative Virtual Wind Shield that reroutes the airflow for extra comfort. Alternatively, the SP2 model has removed the the tonneau for a second seat, complete with its own protective screen and roll bar, for safety.

As part of the new automotive series, both bodies are constructed and lined with carbon fibre, powered with one of the most powerful engine Maranello has ever built. Based on a powerful 798 hp V12, the engine is capable of driving the vehicles from a standstill position to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds, hitting 199km/h in just 7.9.
