Located on the banks of Vejle, the tower of Fjord House stands overlooking the Danish city. What can only be described as a modern fortress, the buildings designer Olafur Eliasson houses a range of artworks as well as the headquarters of Kirk Kapital, a wealth management firm.

Made up of approximately 970,000 bricks, the building boasts a series of cylindrical and concave walls, forming large arch windows and doorways. The three-story structure is accessed by a drawbridge at the ground level, open to the public to view Olafur Eliasson’s artwork. Within the building, the office spaces feature several custom-made furniture pieces and lamps.

Fjord House is part of a larger project for Vejle Harbour and has been developed in response to a concept by Vejle Municipality.
