Off the south coast of Australia lies the isolated island of Tasmania. Known for its quintessential Australian landscape Freycinet Lodge has just opened a line of new guest pavilions. Located on Tasmania’s east coast, this area is not only historic, it’s a picturesque tourist destination.

Drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscapes, the waterfront retreat sits amongst thick bushland on the shores of Great Oyster Bay. Taking form around the steep terrain, each pavilion is constructed from charred oak and glass for a 360 degree view of the island.

Each pavilion features a private deck which wraps around the pavilion, allowing guests to relax and take in the view in utter peace – even within an outdoor tub if you so choose. Inside, an area for a king bed and living room is lined with solid oak and glass walls offering expansive views.
