Everything

Nothing in the Kanye West universe ever seems straightforward, and the Yeezy Gap Line is no exception. But after months of whispers and endless rumours, Kanye West’s Yeezy Gap line is about to become a reality.
According to Business of Fashion, the Yeezy Gap line is on track to launch by the end of June, nearly 12 months after Kanye first mentioned the collaboration.

While the billion-dollar deal is set to earn Kanye and Gap loads of cash, it almost fell apart before it began. In typical Kanye West style, the rapper-turned-designer-turned-politician went on a Twitter tirade against Adidas and Gap, claiming he wouldn’t release a single product with either label unless he were given a board role.

Gap refused to budge, and Kanye folded (thankfully), so now the Yeezy Gap Line is on its way for real.

“We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his Yeezy brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership,” Mark Breitbard, the Global Head of Gap Brand, previously said in a press release.
The relationship between West and Gap has a long history, and Kanye’s ties to the brand inch back to his childhood. He worked for Gap as a teen growing up in Chicago, and he even gives Gap a shoutout in his song “Spaceship,” which was released in 2004.

“Let’s go back, back to the Gap; look at my check, wasn’t no scratch,” the lyrics read.
The Collection
While no official looks have been confirmed, it is rumoured that the line will include pieces at accessible price points for men, women and children. Leaked photos indicate hoodies, windbreakers, chinos, crew neck tees, boots and denim—the classic Ye staples.

Reports have also speculated that the entire collection will slot into the sub-$100 price range, making the Yeezy Gap Line much more affordable than his previous offerings.
Last month, Kanye filed a trademark application for the Yeezy Gap Line logo. The trademark logo displays a close resemblance to the initial design that West shared on social media last year and mimics the original Gap logo.
