As countries continue to update their currency, America has continued to use historic paper note system. Some notes have not been updated since the ’60s, but Belarus local Andrey Avgust has created a series of redesigns, as part of a personal project.

Redesigning every bill in the circulation – 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 – the graphic designer has reimagined the currency in a bold and modern concept. Made with multiple transparent layers of polymer, each bill features high-resolution graphics on both sides in a blue/black hue. Each note is PGP encrypted with unique QR codes, making it almost impossible to counterfeit. The new concept is not set for production.
