With sleep a vital aspect for every functioning human, it is believed that the average person sleeps (or is recommended to) have eight hours of shut-eye, per night. If you do the math, over one lifetime, you would have slept roughly 229,961 hours, or one third of your life. That is a long time to be sleeping in crappy bedding. So, investing in your bedwear, is investing in your own physical and mental health – take it from someone who spends an unsettling amount on linen. So, when it was announced that two of Australia’s biggest lifestyle mogul’s teamed up for a fresh collaboration, I was understandably thrilled.

If you have ever owned a Sheridan towel or slept in Sheridan sheets, or alternatively had the privilege of wearing a cosy Jac+Jack sweater, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. For the uninitiated, let me break it down for you.

In time for Spring/Summer 2020, Sheridan’s head designers have tapped Jacqueline Hunt and Lisa Dempsey of Jac+Jack to create a contemporary range of bedwear, with the same philosophy in mind: quality, everyday pieces that last. The result is a collection that features two quilt covers, a fitted sheet set and a European pillowcase. Intended to appeal to the loyal followings of both Sheridan and Jac+Jack, each piece in the collection encourages customers to create their own style through layering.

The collaborative effort boasts two fresh colours, a rosy blush and slate blue created for versatility. The latter titled ‘Selvedge’, cover reference details that are synonymous with the Jac+Jack brand, familiar to the apparel and textile traditions honoured in their design. The multi‐directional design features a tonal yarn‐dyed cotton with woven bands that mimic herringbone edging.

The pink iteration ‘Braid’, combines a crisp printed percale with the informal texture of a cotton and hemp twill. These specially chosen fabrics are an investment in nature’s finest, with detailing to match. Accompanying style is the ‘Harding’ fitted sheet set and ‘Cutting Edge’ European cushion. Buy one piece or buy them all.

Available from September 7, we can’t imagine this dreamy collaboration last long. Shop the collection, here.
