Coined “The Disruptor” by the Business of Fashion earlier this year, fashion designer and overall creative icon Virgil Abloh has announced his next project. Following his appointment to Creative Director of menswear at Louis Vuitton and ongoing success with Off-White, the designer is using his Architect training for something a little left-of-field.

Founded by Carhartt WIP and Slam Jam, Abloh will take to Spazio Maiocchi, a new art-fashion-design space in the city of Milan. In partnership with art publication, Kaleidoscope Magazine, the event will see a series of installations and artworks from artists featured in the latest issue – think photographer Collier Schorr and French artist Camille Henrot – including a special collaboration from the designer.

Abloh will  present a special edition of Kaleidoscope’s new issue, which will include a T-shirt and signed artwork, as well as an installation and billboard commission. It is reported that he will also present a manifesto on “streetwear as the next global art movement.”

Running for one night only – on November 30 – the design event will be open to the public from 7pm to 9pm. With a chance to see the man in the flesh, book a plane ticket ASAP.
